The RS232 serial port is by now absent from laptops and desktops, including those used in the machines and industrial plants. The CNV3013 converter is an excellent solution to add new RS232 serial port to the PCs.
Using any USB port, CNV3013 is able to generate an RS232 compatible serial port that through the supplied software drivers is seen by the operating system as a standard serial port. Each application that uses the serial port through the operating system is thus able to use the converter.
A further benefit is the galvanic isolation with which the converter is supplied that makes the RS232 port completely and electrically isolated from the USB port.
The CNV3013 converter does not require power supply.
